On August 15-16, 2024, a meeting of specialists from the coordination group on penetrating signals of land mobile radio communications and television and radio broadcasting in the border areas of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Andijan.
The meeting was attended by specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise "CEMC", UNICON.UZ and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties exchanged information on signals from television channels of the Kyrgyz Republic penetrating the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and television channels of the Republic of Uzbekistan penetrating the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the meeting, experts discussed plans for the development of mobile and broadcasting radio services. The parties decided to exchange data on existing and prospective plans for the distribution of radio frequencies in the 450 MHz, 700 MHz, 850 MHz and 2600 MHz ranges for the purpose of effective planning of the use of the radio frequency spectrum at the national level and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility in border areas. The need to take into account global trends in the development of the mobile radio service and the decisions of the World Radiocommunication Conferences was emphasized.
The parties decided to continue the revision of the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the coordination of radio frequency assignments in the radio frequency band 29.7 - 960 MHz used by the radio services of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic" (meeting of the expert group (October 27-28, 2022, Samarkand).
It was noted that cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of use of the radio frequency spectrum has reached a new level and hope is expressed that the results of the negotiations will be fruitful for both Parties.
