On May 23 of this year, another hour of legal training was conducted through the ZOOM platform for employees of the central office of the State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Electromagnetic of Compatibility”, Electromagnetic Compatibility Services of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions.
During this training hour, 1st category engineer SEMC of the Jizzakh region B. Rakhimov explained the content of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Protection of State Secrets” dated 05/07/1993 No. 848-XII.
This Law defines the legal basis for the protection of state secrets in all types of activities of public authorities and management, enterprises, institutions, organizations and associations, regardless of the form of ownership, military formations and citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the territory of the republic and abroad.
State secrets of the Republic of Uzbekistan are of particular importance, top secret and secret military, political, economic, scientific, technical and other information protected by the state and limited to special lists.
The legal basis for the protection of state secrets is the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this Law, and other legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued in accordance with it.
State secrets of the Republic of Uzbekistan are divided into state, military and official secrets.
State secrets are information, the disclosure of which may have a negative impact on the qualitative state of the military-economic potential of the republic or entail other grave consequences for the defense capability, state security, economic and political interests of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Military secrets are information of a military nature, the disclosure of which may entail grave consequences for the defense capability, state security and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Official secrets consist of information in the field of science, technology, production and management, the disclosure of which may harm the interests of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
