The operation of a repeater that creates radio interference with mobile communication networks has been stopped

Based on requests from mobile operators to the Service of Electromagnetic Compatibility in the Bukhara Region to eliminate radio interference, radio monitoring activities were carried out. During the radio monitoring activities, it was established that repeaters that amplify the signals of mobile communication networks used by organizations and citizens of the Bukhara region create radio interference with mobile communication base stations. In order to eliminate negative radio interference, owners of repeaters that amplify mobile network signals were issued written instructions and prohibited from using them.

On May 14 of this year, in order to identify and suppress the activities of illegally used REM and HFD in the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara region, joint radio monitoring activities were carried out by representatives of the territorial branch of the Uzkomnazorat of the Bukhara region, the Service of  Electromagnetic Compatibility in the Bukhara region and the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Bukhara region. During the radio monitoring exercise, a repeater was identified that amplifies the signals of mobile communication networks and creates radio interference with the operation of base stations of mobile communication operators. As a result of the measures taken, this repeater was discontinued.

In accordance with the decision of the Republican Council on Radio Frequencies No. 707 dated August 23, 2022, the development, modernization, production and import and use of relay devices that amplify signals from mobile communication networks that do not meet technical conditions on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan is strictly prohibited.

Repeater users must take all necessary organizational and technical measures to prevent radio interference from their devices to mobile operator networks.
