ITU Regional Radiocommunication Seminar for the CIS Countries 2024

On April 15 to 19, 2024, a Regional Radiocommunication seminar for the CIS countries was held in Astana, with the participation of leading specialists from the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau. The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the seminar, a forum was held on the topic "Modern methods of spectrum management". The sessions of this Forum included presentations on Terrestrial Broadband radio technology, Monitoring the quality of mobile coverage, trends in satellite communications, technical aspects and challenges, as well as the development of national radio frequency plans and the reorganization of spectrum use.

The main part of the seminar covered topics related to the regulatory framework for managing the use of frequencies at the international level, ITU-R Recommendations and examples of best practices in the use of spectrum by ground and space services, as well as procedures for registering frequency assignments in the International Frequency Reference Register, familiarization with ICT tools developed by ITU for applying frequency assignments to radio services and for conducting technical review. 

  Specialists of SUE CEMC, Nadezhda Rozykulova, Head of the Television and Radio Broadcasting Department and Kudratova Aziza 1st category engineer of the Department of Coordination of Radio Frequency Assignments, took part in this event as part of the delegation from the CA of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
