December 8 is the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan!

The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted a little more than a quarter of a century ago on December 8, 1992 at the 11th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Proclaiming the highest value of human rights and freedoms, the Constitution became the basis for democratic reforms, economic modernization, and social transformations. It contributes to the strengthening of interethnic peace and harmony, the development of historical and cultural traditions.

The Constitution is the guarantor of ensuring human rights and freedoms, adherence to the principles of State sovereignty, peace and harmony in society, and large-scale reforms in all spheres of life. This document marked the beginning of the newest stage in the formation of the statehood of Uzbekistan, and today it guarantees the rights and freedoms of every person.

Constitution Day is a symbol of a free and strong state, the foundation for the development of the country and improving the quality of life of every person.
