In order to ensure the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 17, 2022 "On Protection of the Population and Territories from Natural and Technological Emergencies" and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 9, 2019 No. 754 "On Improving the Procedure for Preparing the Population for Actions in Emergency Situations and in the Field of Civil Protection," from November 26 to 27, 2022, the Civil Protection Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized 15-hour preparatory classes for employees involved in the civil protection structures of the central office of the State Unitary Enterprise "CEMS."
On the first day of the preparatory classes, a theoretical part was conducted, during which the senior lecturer on emergency prevention and territorial protection D. Kh. Rakhimjonova conducted an online seminar-training. At the seminar, important information was presented on preventing emergencies, ensuring the safety of the population, and protecting territories from natural and man-made threats.
On the second day, employees visited the Emergency Simulation Center. There, the Senior Lecturer of the Emergency Simulation Center, L.G. Galimova, met the staff and familiarized them in detail with the museum part of the center. During the practical part of the visit, employees witnessed virtual and practical simulations of such situations as earthquakes, fires, explosions, floods, chemical accidents, and also explained in detail to citizens how to act in emergency situations.
The 3D virtual systems in the center made it possible to visually feel a fire or explosion. Also, in the earthquake simulation room, the earthquake force was modeled using a special vibrating platform, and employees learned to choose safe places inside the building and move correctly.
