A webinar was held on the topic "Application of space images and geoinformation technologies in the field of water management"

This webinar was organized at the initiative of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications and the Agency for Space Research and Technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Company Kazakstan Garysh Sapari JSC.

The event was attended by heads and specialists of the Ministries of Water and Agriculture, as well as their regional divisions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Center for Hydrometeorological Service, the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, the Tashkent Agrarian University, the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi , Inha University in Tashkent.

This webinar became a logical continuation of a number of events previously held with the participation of partners from Kazakhstan, at which an exchange of experience with Kazakhstani partners was carried out in the development and application of technologies for remote sensing of the earth in various sectors of the economy.

The webinar discussed in detail the issues of using satellite technologies and technologies for remote sensing of the Earth for the rational use of water resources, effective management of reclamation processes, and ensuring sanitary and environmental requirements in coastal areas.

In particular, the possibilities of using space images of the KazEOSat-1, KazEOSat-2, KazSTSat-1 satellites, technologies for decoding water bodies developed by the National Company Kazakstan Garysh Sapari JSC, flood modeling techniques, geoservice gidro.gharysh.kz, were presented. as well as examples of the practical application of these technologies.

At the event, which was held in a lively spirit, the participants developed a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of the use of Earth remote sensing technologies and geoinformation systems in the field of water management, as well as in terms of water bodies and water use in the cadastre system, agriculture, ecology, emergencies and in other areas.

The parties also paid attention to the issues of personnel training and professional development, the organization of an integral system for the provision of geoinformation services to government agencies and departments, and supported the idea of ​​further holding separate events with interested ministries and departments.
