The A‑380 Guzar–Bukhara–Nukus–Beineu International Highway is the most important transport artery connecting the Republic of Uzbekistan with European countries through the southwestern part of Kazakhstan. A significant part of this international highway, passing through the Kungradsky district, runs through the endless desert and steppe expanses of the Ustyurt plateau. The lack of mobile communications in the area, where hundreds of trucks and cars pass daily, significantly complicated the situation of drivers in the harsh climate.

In recent years, due to the ongoing reforms in our republic, telecom operators have done significant work to provide the A‑380 international highway with mobile communication and Internet services. In particular, 38 base stations have been installed and put into operation by telecom operators on a 331—kilometer stretch from the city of Kungrad to the Daut Ota checkpoint. As a result, the level of mobile coverage on the highway section passing through the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan reached 94%, and the level of mobile Internet coverage reached 87%.

We believe that our service has also made a significant contribution to achieving these indicators. Our employees regularly measure mobile and Internet coverage on international highways, domestic roads of national importance, as well as in all settlements of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Based on the collected data, telecom operators are provided with information about territories that are not covered by mobile communications.
