The state creates conditions to ensure access to the global information network Internet

Today, our country is implementing comprehensive organizational and technical measures to modernize and expand the telecommunications infrastructure, which makes it possible to improve the quality of service and increase the types of telecommunications services, including coverage by mobile networks.

Throughout the republic, work is gradually being carried out to develop telecommunications infrastructure in remote and rural settlements, tourist and recreational areas, along main roads and railways, as well as wireless broadband Internet access networks. For the effective organization of these works, it is important, first of all, to regularly carry out radio monitoring activities and analyze the real state of mobile communications and mobile Internet coverage.

In accordance with the Minutes of the meeting of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 27-1 dated February 23, 2023, the State Unitary Enterprise “CEMC” and its regional structural divisions based on the results of each quarter, until the 5th of the next month, are tasked with providing the Ministry and its territorial departments with detailed information on the state of mobile communications coverage (radio monitoring results) on highways of international and republican significance, as well as in populated areas of the republic.

To ensure high-quality implementation of the assigned tasks, highly qualified specialists of the State Unitary Enterprise “CEMC” and its regional structural divisions promptly carry out the necessary work to measure the mobile communications coverage area. By doing this, the employees of our company make a worthy contribution to improving the quality of telecommunications services provided in our country.

It is known that under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on December 20 of this year, a video conference meeting was held on priority tasks for the development of information technology in industries and regions, as well as the digitalization of public administration. During the meeting, the issue of improving the infrastructure of the sector, in particular increasing the speed of Internet access, was raised. It was noted that in some regions the Internet speed is low, 20 percent of international highways are not covered by mobile Internet.

The shortcomings indicated by the Head of our state must be eliminated, and the coverage of mobile communications and mobile Internet on the territory of the republic must be increased to 100 percent, since Article 33 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan states that “The State creates conditions for ensuring access to the worldwide information network Internet.”
