Language as a soul of the nation

In order to increase the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work and ensure compliance with legislation on the state language, on November 3, 2023, a round table on the topic “State language” was held at the Electromagnetic Compatibility Service of the Fergana Region. The round table was attended by Associate Professor Begzod Bekzhanovich Iminov, Candidate of Philological Sciences at Fergana State University, as well as employees of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Service.

If we look at recent history, on October 21, 1989, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Language” was adopted, and our native language, the Uzbek language, was given the status of the state language. This became an unforgettable, historical event in the life of our country and people. For this reason, we proudly recall that the Uzbek language was given the status of the state language at a time when our country was taking its first steps towards independence. According to Article 4 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “The state language of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the Uzbek language.” The legal basis for the use of the Uzbek language as the state language on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan is determined by this Law and other laws. Begzod Bekzhanovich, candidate of philological sciences, emphasized that the adoption of the Law “On the State Language of the Republic of Uzbekistan” played an important role in the development of the national identity of the Uzbek people, strengthening the country’s independence, and restoring cultural heritage.

The main goal of the event was to explain the importance of the language in the life of every society.
