Respect for the memory of Alisher Navoi among the population of our republic and, in particular, the Navoi region is boundless. The need for the Navoi region to become an example and role model in the field of spiritual education and enlightenment, one might say, to become the spiritual brand of our country, was emphasized.
This was discussed at a meeting on the development of the economy of the Navoi region, increasing the population's income and improving social infrastructure, chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, where, on the initiative of our President, 2025 was declared the "Year of Alisher Navoi" in the Navoi region.
Within the framework of this year, it is expected to organize a republican competition for the presidential prize on the theme "Knowledge of the great Navoi - knowledge of ourselves". In each mahalla, school, higher educational institutions and among work collectives, it is planned to hold Navoi readings.
In this regard, on February 7, 2025, an event on the theme "Knowledge of the great Navoi - knowledge of ourselves" was held at the SEMC of Navoi region together with the specialized school for native language and literature named after Adisher Navoi.
The event was opened by the service engineer M. Turakulov, who noted in his opening remarks that this event is being held in connection with the 584th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi and the announcement of 2025 in the Navoi region as the "Year of Alisher Navoi", and introduced the teachers and students invited to participate in the event.
Teacher of native language and literature at the Alisher Navoi School Z. Istamova said that Navoi’s genius is so great that it cannot be described in words, and that we still have not been able to fully study the spiritual legacy he left behind, and also provided brief information about his life.
Of course, the Navoi Readings cannot be imagined without ghazals and beits. During the event, the school's methodologist I. Tozhieva, together with senior school students G. Akhadova, Z. Mardonova and R. Normuammadova, read selected ghazals by Navoi.
The service employees also read excerpts from Alisher Navoi's ghazals and expressed their opinions on their meaning.
In short, our enterprise paid tribute to the genius of Navoi and worthily honored the memory of the great scientist.
At the end of the event, the service employees presented memorable gifts to the teachers and students of the Alisher Navoi School specialized in native language and literature, who were invited as guests.
