Anti-Corruption Event Held at the Electromagnetic Compatibility Service of Navoi Region

A number of comprehensive organizational, preventive, and control measures are being implemented in our country aimed at building an effective system for combating corruption, preventing corrupt situations, eliminating factors that may create conditions for corruption, as well as fostering a sense of complete intolerance towards corruption among employees.

As our President stated: “The fight against corruption is a sacred duty of every conscientious person, democratic society, and state.”

On April 28 of this year, a round table was held among the staff of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Service (SEMC) of the Navoi Region on the topic “Corruption – a scourge hindering the development of society.”

The event was attended by Major Saifullaev Kandiyor Kalandar ogli, Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Navoi Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

The specialist provided information and explanations about the procedure for carrying out operational search activities related to corruption crimes; conducting pre-investigation checks, inquiries, and preliminary investigations; collecting and analyzing information on types of corruption and the results of anti-corruption efforts; and submitting necessary information to the relevant state authorities. He also discussed raising public legal awareness and implementing and coordinating legal advocacy activities aimed at enhancing legal culture and strengthening the rule of law.

During the round table, discussions and clarifications were also held regarding the content of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. ZRU-419 “On Combating Corruption” dated January 3, 2017, and Presidential Decree No. UP-147 dated April 21, 2025, “On Measures to Ensure the Independence and Improve the Efficiency of Internal Anti-Corruption Control Units of State Bodies and Organizations.”

At the end of the event, SEMC employees of the Navoi Region received detailed answers to their questions.

The round table will contribute to developing an immunity to corruption among employees and further enriching their knowledge in the fight against corruption.
