Measurements of the coverage area of mobile cellular communications and mobile Internet in mahallas in the districts of the Samarkand region were carried out

Currently, due to the growing demand for mobile communications services and the constant increase in the number of users, there is a need for a constant detailed study and analysis of the state of mobile communications coverage and an assessment of the quality of communication services provided by mobile operators, in particular mobile Internet.

In accordance with the Minutes of the meeting No. 199 of November 30, 2024 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to implement the program" From poverty to well-being "" and the order of the "Ministry of Digital Technologies" № 28-8/20 of January 3, 2025, employees of the SEMC of the Samarkand region carried out work to measure the coverage area of mobile communications and mobile Internet services in the territory of mahallas in the districts of the Samarkand region

During the measurements, a measuring complex based on Android smartphones with specialized software “QualiPoc” from the German company “Rohde&Schwarz” installed on them was used to measure the state of mobile communication coverage of 2G, 3G and 4G technologies, and also during the monitoring of the quality of communication, a scanner “TSME 6” with software “ROMES” was used to measure the state of mobile communication and Internet coverage on the main highways of the regions.

Based on the results of the measurements, analytical data on the state

of mobile communications and mobile Internet coverage in the territories

of mahallas and main highways in the districts were prepared.

It is worth noting that the analytical data prepared as a result of the above-mentioned measurement work will serve as a basis for providing relevant recommendations to mobile operators to expand coverage and further improve the quality of communication services.
