The 28th meeting of the RCC Commission for Regulation of Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbits and its working bodies was held from September 30 to October 3 of this year.
The meeting of the RCC Commission for Regulation of Radio Frequency Spectrum and Satellite Orbits was held in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, at the Nevskaya Ratusha administrative and business complex at the invitation of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
The commission's work was conducted in a hybrid format. Representatives of communications administrations, responsible agencies, and specialized organizations participated in the meeting, representing national delegations of RCC member states, as well as representatives of several Commission observer organizations.
Representatives of other regional telecommunication organizations and industry-specific international organizations also participated:
• Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT),
• European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT),
• Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL),
• World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
The meeting will focus on:
• preparations for the 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference and Radiocommunication Assembly,
• development and access of low-orbit space communication systems in the Commonwealth of Independent States,
• implementation of the 2023 World Radiocommunication Conference decisions at the national level in the RCC member states,
• key outcomes of the meetings of the working bodies of the ITU Radiocommunication Sector.
