On December 20, 2023, a meeting was held in the Namangan regional defense assistance organization of Uzbekistan “Vatanparvar” with the participation of radio amateurs. In total, 30 radio amateurs from cities and districts of the Namangan region took part in the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, the Decision of the Republican Council on Radio Frequencies No. 638 dated March 3, 2021 “On the technical conditions for the use of amateur radio stations on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was read to all radio amateurs.
During the meeting, the activities of radio amateurs in 2023 were studied and discussed in detail.
At the meeting, issues of attracting young people to amateur radio sports and involving school students by organizing demonstration stands were also discussed.
It should be noted that as a result of joint activities of the Namangan regional defense assistance organization of Uzbekistan “Vatanparvar” and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Service of the Namangan region, the number of cases of illegal use of radio-electronic equipment in the HF and VHF range has sharply decreased.
As a result of the meeting, radio amateurs were given permits to use amateur radio stations for the new year 2024.
