Increasing the sense of patriotism and responsibility of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan for selfless and devoted service to the Motherland will make it possible to replenish the ranks of the National Army with young people who have modern knowledge and professional qualifications, strong will, and an active civic position.
Today in the republic a number of works are being carried out on the patriotic education of youth. Developed on the basis of the basic principles and priorities of the state youth policy implemented in our country, in the conditions of the current complex globalization, the rapid development of information and communication technologies, current problems and ways to solve them related to the education of youth in the spirit of military-patriotic education are being solved by state and non-governmental organizations, families, mahallas, educational institutions. determine the role and significance of institutions in this matter, their interaction taking into account national and international legal norms.
A person’s upbringing begins in the family, then continues in a preschool, school, college or institute, or army. At every stage it is necessary to protect the developing minds of young people from alien ideas.
The main indicator of the country's defense is the formation of a selfless generation with a highly developed patriotic feeling and devotion to their Motherland. This, in turn, requires the development of mechanisms for the formation of these qualities and technologies for their development. Therefore, the genesis, evolution and transformation of national patriotism in the modern world; the role of patriotism in interethnic relations; the problem of patriotism and geopolitics; plays an important role in the moral content of the phenomenon of patriotism and the dynamics of its changes. Over the years of independence, the attitude towards patriotic education and propaganda in our country has changed dramatically. Effective mechanisms for promoting patriotism have been developed, and a system has been established to make full use of the capabilities of technical and technological means in this direction. In order to develop a civic position and responsibility among young people, various military sports competitions and competitions are held. The orders “Mustakillik”, “Amir Temur”, “Jalaliddin Manguberdi”, “Courage”, “For Faithful Merit” have been established in our country.
It is also necessary to protect monuments of art, history and architecture, which are the cultural heritage of the Uzbek people, to know their history and significance today. After all, who wouldn’t be surprised by monuments created over several centuries - mosques, madrassas, palaces, observatories, castles, skyscrapers, mausoleums, rich and ancient history, monuments of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent, Turkestan. They also evoke in the hearts of young people a sense of pride and boundless respect for our past history, for the science and professional skills of our ancestors.
